The sports and fitness industry is booming. In 2021, sales of 2.2 billion euros could be generated in this area. Health and self-care are more important than ever. More and more people are taking part in sport, new sports are emerging and the number of successful sporting events is increasing. A growing industry like this needs one thing above all: well-trained and qualified specialist staff. For academically trained sports managers, the prospects for an exciting and long-term job are therefore first-class.
As a professional sports manager, you have the opportunity to combine your passion for fitness and sport with your professional activity in a variety of ways. The content of your practice-oriented degree course is geared towards the various tasks and areas that await you in practice. In addition, exciting specializations such as “Service Management and Business Start-Ips”, “Stress Regulation and Relaxation” or “Occupational Health Management” await you.
Our 7-semester course in sports management enables you to obtain a state-recognized Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor of Science ). The compact on-campus modules allow you to remain flexible in terms of time and still be ideally prepared for a successful career start. The qualifications from the fields of sport and health, as well as business administration, that you will acquire as part of this Bachelor’s degree course are as diverse as sport itself. Among other things, you will learn how to design individual training and exercise plans for professional athletes, for example, or how to organize sponsorship and marketing events for various clubs and associations. The preparation of well-founded analyses in the prevention and health market or the implementation of new processes and innovations in the sports sector are also among the relevant topics of your studies.
In addition to the theoretical knowledge you acquire in your foundation course, you will also work on your own projects and deal with practical content as part of your chosen specialization.
After successfully completing the B.Sc. you can choose from a range of first-class careers in the field of sports management. For example, you can take on management positions in the health sector as well as in commercial sports facilities such as sports and leisure centers, sports and soccer clubs or fitness studios. Want to be closer to the action? No problem! As part of your studies, you will also qualify as a head coach for popular and competitive sports or as an independent personal trainer .
